Our socks are free of polyamide and polyester. We do not even use synthetic fibers for the connecting seams, as is otherwise common in sock production. They consist of 97% Fairtrade organic cotton and 3% ROICA™ V550. This elastane fiber provides the necessary elasticity and is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health Gold. An environmental impact assessment by Hohenstein has proven that the material gradually degrades under defined test conditions. Thanks to the hand-linked, extra-flat toe seam, our socks feel pleasantly soft and comfortable on the skin.
Material & Care
We recommend washing these socks on a gentle cycle at 30° to prevent shrinkage and to maintain their beautiful appearance. Cleaning and air drying your laundry at lower temperatures will save energy and money and help you minimize your carbon footprint.
Sustainability
All MELA textiles are certified according to Fairtrade Cotton, the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and the Green Button (Grüner Knopf). These three certifications address different points in our supply chain and complement each other in their social and environmental requirements.
