Our socks are free from polyamide and polyester. Even for the connecting seams, we do not use synthetic fibers, as is otherwise common in sock production. They consist of 97% Fairtrade organic cotton and 3% ROICA™ V550. This elastane fiber provides the necessary elasticity and is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health Gold. In an environmental impact assessment by Hohenstein, it was proven that the material degrades gradually under defined test conditions. Thanks to the hand-linked, extra-flat toe seam, our socks feel pleasantly soft and comfortable against the skin. This model sits extra softly on the leg thanks to its rolled hem, avoiding pressure marks.
Material & Care
We recommend washing these socks on a gentle cycle at 30°C to prevent shrinkage and preserve their beautiful appearance. Cleaning and air-drying your laundry at lower temperatures saves energy and money, helping you minimize your carbon footprint.
Sustainability
All MELA textiles are triple-certified according to Fairtrade Cotton, the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and the Green Button. We believe the social and ecological aspects of these standards complement each other perfectly, allowing us to confidently speak of holistically sustainable textiles.

production
These socks were manufactured by our producers in India. A transparent, friendly, and equal collaboration is our focus at all our production facilities. Together, we are constantly evolving to continuously optimize the quality of our products. Our manufacturers have already received numerous awards for their social commitment. We pay attention to fair working conditions and a healthy working environment, not only in the sewing department. From the cotton to the finished product, we can trace all components and guarantee compliance with ecological standards throughout the entire supply chain.
For sustainability reasons, we don't use elastane in cuffs and hems. This means your garment may stretch in these areas during wear and return to its original shape after washing.
